Life is stressful – even more so now in this day of information overload and internet addiction disorder (yep, that’s a thing). After learning cutting-edge holistic techniques for managing stress in San Francisco and Silicon Valley, coach and science communicator Sonja Shin loves sharing tips for empowering people to live with greater wellbeing and peace of mind.

Coaching

Mental health and stress management is one of the biggest challenges for employers. Shin coaches execs and businesses on stress management and working more sustainably with mindfulness and positive intention. Who’s Sonja Shin

Sonja Shin has extensive experience in communicating about science, health and tech and as a coach. She has produced for NBC Network News at 30 Rock in New York, working with people like Katie Couric, Tom Brokaw and Bryant Gumbel. She has also reported the news in St. Louis, Seattle and San Francisco and communicated about science and tech at NASA in Silicon Valley.

Shin has won numerous awards, including the NASA Honor Award for Excellence and media awards from the Missouri Nurses Association, Missouri Heart Association and the Missouri Department of Mental Health. She has lectured at Ohio State and Webster Universities.

Shin specializes in communicating about science, health and tech for the layperson. She studied science journalism at Northwestern University and in the world’s top science communication graduate program at the University of California, Santa Cruz,  where she was trained by top science journalists from places like The New York Times.

She also won a grant while attending the Washington University Brown School of Social Work Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation Program.

Shin was a model for Elite in Chicago, working with top makeup artists from coast to coast in TV news and as a blogger in San Francisco and as a spokesperson for companies like Edward Jones, Boeing and Maritz.
