Happiness is a visit to Amici’s East Coast Pizzeria in Mountain View – A Gem of the Bay Area

Today I drove by NASA Ames Research Center in Mountain View, where I worked for many years the first and last time I lived in San Francisco. I had dinner at one of my favorite pizza places – Amici’s – and was quite surprised when a robot pulled up and served me bread.

Wow, things have changed over the past few years. We got our food delivered by Penny, the robot. Apparently this is what happens when you eat near Google and Elan Place.

Hello, Silicon Valley. When do I get my Tesla??

And the pizza is still as delicious as I remember – just as good as the true East Coast pizza I used to love to eat in Manhattan in my NBC Network News day when I produced for them shortly after I graduated from college.

I highly recommend stopping by Amici’s for the wonderful food, comfy atmosphere and delightful staff – human and robotic! 🤖
