This morning I talked about national Lazy Day on Fox 2 News in St. Louis (for real, that’s a thing – it’s August 10th so be sure to put it on your calendar stat).

We live in a go-go-go society, and sometimes it’s easy to think we have to be pushing and grinding, checking off items on the to do list to be worthy, productive members of society.

And yet, taking time out for ourselves in simple ways is also a very productive thing to do. It helps us relax and clear our minds. Just like our phones, we need to recharge so we can tackle our to do lists more efficiently, with more clarity and with greater ease.

In my interview, I featured Sudsy Soapery, one of the Gems of St. Louis. It’s a family-owned local company founded in 2011 by husband and wife team Jonathan and Kaycie Cook. They are passionate about their products and fastidious about the ingredients they use.

Here is video of the interview, and below is a review and more details about Sudsy Soapery and their products.

They create top-quality, handcrafted, all-natural bath and beauty products for women, men and even dogs. Their bar soaps, aromatherapy candles, lotions and grooming products work just as well as products I’ve gotten in San Francisco and NYC – and at a fraction of the price.

For example, their essential oils are only $3-$22. Their men’s grooming products run about $5-$16. You can also get one of their limited edition soaps of the week for only $2 a bar while supplies last on Saturdays when you visit their booth at Soulard Farmer’s Market in downtown St. Louis.

Do tell. Do you take time to be lazy and find that it helps you be more productive? Are you using more all-natural products with less packaging to be kind to the environment? Do tell.
